We bought this from a friend and my daughter drove it until the wiring harness went bad. Before the harness issue, it ran strong. Th w124 motor is considered to be one of the most reliable engines ever made. Really the only issue is the biodegradable wiring harness mb used for a few years. The car is not running currently due to the degraded wiring harness. Someone with a little time could replace the harness and have a very reliable car for cheap. Last time we looked, there were a few non-biogradable harnesses on ebay, but we just don't have the time to replace the harness. The reason for the restored title, from what i was told, is that the car was rear-ended early on and was repaired. It is just cosmetic. The previous owner collected a handful of correct marcedes parts for things that might need to be replaced. Those will go with the car. The previous owner also upgraded to later model mercedes wheels that look a lot better than the originals. Mounted on them currently are blizzak snow tires with decent tread left.
